Yes, footnotes and endnotes are allowed, but they’re not used for citations in APA Style. You can read more about what they’re used for and how to format them here.

No, you should usually copy the URL directly from your browser or from wherever a stable URL is provided, therefore including the “https://”

Hi Stephanie,

APA’s guidance in your case states that you should not use et al., but instead list all three authors for each of the sources in your citations of them, to avoid ambiguity.

I have two papers to cite within the main body of text that have the same publication year and same first author (but different second and third). Using Name1 et al., year would not help differentiate them, but I’m not sure using a and b afterwards is correct if the other authors are not the same. How do I distinguish them in the text?
